Made once, for one room
A commission is a conversation first.
You are not choosing a product off a shelf. You are choosing a slab of solid wood, deciding what runs through it, and having it built to your room by the people who will deliver it. Start below by sketching the piece you have in mind — the size, the wood, the finish — and we will take it from there.
We reply within one working day, then send a written quote and a scale drawing. Nothing is made, and nothing is paid, until you approve it.

How a commission is built
From a conversation to a table in your room, in five steps.
Everything below happens under our own roof — the cutting, the pour, the sanding, the finishing and the delivery.
- 01Your room, not just the tableWe talk through the space: walking room on every side, where the light falls, seat counts, and the doors, stairs or lifts the finished piece has to come through.
- 02Choosing the actual slabYou see the real wood before anything is cut — the grain, the live edge, the knots and the character we will either fill or keep. If you cannot come in, we send photographs of the slabs on the bench.
- 03Drawing, then the pourYou approve a scale drawing and a written quote. Only then do we cut, stabilise and pour. Resin goes in in layers and cures slowly, which is why a river table takes longer than a solid top.
- 04Flattening, sanding and finishThe top is levelled and hand-sanded through the grits, then sealed in Dead Matt or hand-waxed with Jax wax. You get photographs at rough-cut, at pour and at finishing.
- 05Delivered, carried in and levelledBlanket-wrapped on our own transport. We carry it in, assemble and level it on site, and take the packaging away. Where a long slab will not physically fit, we say so up front and either engineer a concealed joint or arrange access.

Single slabs split by a poured resin river, made and finished in-house. These are pieces we have built — the colour of the pour, the timber and the base are all yours to choose.
